Forum - Metropolitan State Hospital in Waltham MA
0 | I'm a 'newbie' and I really enjoy this board. I have questions about Met State Hospital in Waltham. I have read where some have explored these grounds and have made several discoveries, including former patients' records. Does anyone have any information about their findings in this hospital? I would like to gain access there. What building would house these records? I just don't know where to start, but I feel like it's something I have to do, and time is of the essence, as I have learned that a 'golf course' is being built on these grounds. Has anyone ever written a book about this hospital? If so, please let me know. Thanks! |

0 | First rule: NO Trespassing. I'm not trying to sound harsh or reiterate if you've already heard it, but besides the fact that it's against the law to trespass, it can also be very unsafe in these abandoned buildings. If you're interested in investigating this place, you must first get the owner's consent. And don't go alone. Kell |

0 | Maybe you could go there with a paranormal group on a ghost investigation. That way your visit there would be legal and safe, providing they got permission to enter. You have to worry about the asbestos and other structural dangers in these places. Also there could be homeless or drug addicts that hang out in the place, which would be far more dangerous than some ghost. |

0 | This place was personally, although briefly, my own reality and nightmare. In the 70's. Not funny...definitely not a the business of profiters and the like. Respect it's history, it's grounds, and patients...it should be a place where you bow your head in shame to be from the humanrace. I can walk those grounds and know I need not fear...I need not run...I know. ![]() |
